From missing out to medals!
Families were already stretched but the team didn’t want to ask for more.

When the Rivergate Tigers, a junior martial arts club for ages 8 - 14, were invited to compete in the County Tournament, excitement turned to dread. “We were proud to get the invite,” says Sensei Tara Niles, “but we couldn’t afford the basics - travel, gear or even tournament fees.”
Families were already stretched. The team didn’t want to ask for more.
That’s when a parent shared Ev’ryday.
“We signed up to Ev’ryday, spread the word and let people shop,” Tara explains. “No car washes. No crowdfunding fatigue. Just simple support from people buying their usual stuff.”
In just four months, they raised $3,600 - enough to hire a minibus, buy new gear and cover registration for all 12 competitors.
“The kids looked sharp, fought hard and came home with five medals,” says Tara. “Ev’ryday gave them that chance.”
Next stop? “State Championships.”
